More info blow outs, stretching

Okay so after stretching your ears for the first time you should always wait AT LEAST two weeks between the next stretch. Even longer when you go to bigger sizes. The wait it takes for your ears to heal and  be prepared to stretch again, really depends on the person. For some it takes months, for others it takes weeks or maybe even less.

Always listen to your body. You will know when you are and are not capable to stretch your ears. If you can not read your body very well then you should pull on your ears and if you see a gap between your ear and the plug or piercing that means you could be ready for the next stretch.

Remember to keep doing vitamin E oil massages and sea salt soaks to help keep your ears clean and in good health. Try not to use anything on your ears with dyes and other typical products, because it really is not good for your ears.

If you stretch to quickly and get a blow out it is best to go back to the previous size. A blow out is when your ear rips from stretching to fast, you can usually tell when you have a blow out because of bleeding, and extreme soreness, your ear should never hurt anymore than 24 hours after your stretch. The reason you down size after a blow out is to prevent the blow out from getting worse and leaving scar tissue. Scar tissue is a big pain, because scar tissue is harder and a lot harder to stretch when you have blow outs. So really down sizing is not taking more time, but preventing more time being wasted in the future.

Remember usually after stretching up to a 00g is fine to where you can take out your earrings and go back to a normal size, but anywhere after this (depending on the person) there is a chance that your ears will not close properly, and possible surgery to make them look "normal". So if you continue to stretch after the 00g, make sure you want to have stretched ears for the rest of your life. If you do, you should probably start using the taping method which i will get into more detail about in my next post.

Second Step to Stretching

Alright so this is my next step to stretching your ears, if there are things that you don't get just go back to my other posts.

Okay so The first step to stretching your ears is to pierce your ears. If your ears are already pierced skip this first paragraph. Okay so when getting your ears pierced you should NOT go into any place where they use a piercing gun. You should always go to a professional piercer who knows what they are doing. Usually you will get pierced using a hollow needle starting at the size 16g or 14g. Some people would say to get pierced with a 10g and save yourself sometime, but i advise not to not just because when they pierce you with a hollow needle it is taking out skin that you will not get back, and if you wanna go to a larger size then you need all the skin you can get. After piercing your ears and letting them heal COMPLETELY, i can not stress this enough. If you rush into stretching or going up sizes when your ears are not ready you can cause major damage to your ears.

Okay so after your ears have been pierced and you are ready to start stretching, the best time to stretch your ears is after you get our of the shower, because your ears are more elastic and stretchy from the heat of the shower. So usually depending on if your starting with a 14g or 12g or whatever. You start out by using your pinchers or tapers with the next size up (MAKE SURE TO KNOW THE SIZES AND NOT TO SKIP SIZES). I personally used Pinchers I found them much better to use, they are easy to get in and you do not have to switch them out like you do with tapers, (which are not jewelry to wear). Also do not use tapers after 00g. They put to much stress on your ears and its better to after this size to start taping your ears, which i will get into more detail about in post later on.

So you get out of the shower and you are all jazzed up about stretching your ears. So first you should probly use a lubricant, I use Vitamin E oil (make sure it is not scented or has any dyes in it) you then push the pincher or taper through your ear. DO NOT FORCE IT IN. If it does not go in smoothly with little or no pain, you should definitely take it out. This means that your ear was not ready to stretch and that you should wait longer to stretch. One it is in if you are using pinchers you can put on the little rings that come with it and leave it as is. If you are Stretching with tapers you must switch it out for plugs in that same size. Never leave a taper in, it can weigh down your ear and cause deformity or irritation.

After stretching successfully you should clean your ears everyday in sea salt water mix, following up with a vitamin e oil massage. It is very important for you to do these things to help your ears heal and thicken, and help them being able to stretch in the future. To help stretch your ears you can play with them or tug on them (after healing), to help stretch to that next size. You should not clean your ears with alcohol or peroxide, you should stick with sea salt  and water. Another thing is don't take showers with your plugs in, even after a fresh stretch it is only a little bit of time and you should not worry about it closing up, if you leave them in while showering you do not let your ears breath, or let them clean themselves, and same thing with your plugs. you should always keep your ears and plugs clean.
If any questions ask, or any other tips leave them. I will be posting more about ear stretching.
The picture below is my ears at 12g with pinchers in.

Ear Stretching Preparation

Okay so for this part of my blogging adventures I plan on discussing on how you should stretch your ears, THE HEALTHY WAY.
First before you start stretching your ears you need to be absolutely sure that you want to have stretched ears the rest of your life. You also wanna be prepared for a lot of discrimination on your ears, more so the bigger you go. You also must be very Patient, stretching your ears the right way should never be to quick. When you rush into things you are very likely to get blow outs, or infect your ears, or all sorts of things that can be very bad for your ears.
Also please do not stretch your ears because you want to "impress" someone. Its better to just not if that's your reasoning. You should always do body modifications for yourself, and no one else.
If you have considered these things and are still positive that you want to stretch your ears, then by all means go for it! I have been stretching my ears and i absolutely love it! I'm so proud of my ears they are growing so fast :') As of right now i am between sizes because i am taping my ears, but my next size is 5/8 which i'm very excited for!

So for preparation for stretching your ears you should have these things...(these are the things I used, there are other things you may use, but i advise to look up what you are going to use and just know what you are doing.)
-Tapers (steel, glass preferably)
-Plugs or pinchers (which are like septum rings)
-Vitamin E oil
-Sea Salt (non-iodized)
-distilled water
-Teflon tape
-Time

This is just the preparation, and things to have, I think i have most of the basics. I will post more about the process of stretching in my next post.
Also some info on stretching your ears, is that it is not called gauging or your plugs are not called gauges.. that is a type of measurement.

*From stretching my ears for a while now i have looked up a lot of information on stretching your ears, i am not saying to do it my way, do it however you please. This is just a good way to go i have looked up all my info on many different sites and in books i'l try to post where i got my information from, but a lot of the time i won't remember.
